Every click has to pass through the link.
It’s the one component every campaign shares, and the one nobody owns.
Marketing teams monitor almost everything. Ad spend has alerts. Uptime has a dashboard. Creative gets three rounds of review. The link — the thing standing between the money and the customer — gets pasted into a shortener and never looked at again.
So it fails quietly. A promo page expires on a Friday while the ad set keeps spending. A redirect drops a query string and a month of paid traffic files itself under Direct. A QR code goes to print and the destination is retired in a site migration nobody mentioned. None of it throws an error. It just shows up later as a campaign that underperformed for reasons no one can reconstruct.
TrackLink started from a narrow observation: a shortener can tell you a link was clicked, but not whether the click arrived anywhere useful. Those are completely different questions, and only one of them is worth budget.
So we built the other one. Check the destination before the link ships. Keep checking after it does. Govern the parameters that attribution depends on. Then connect the click to the revenue, so the report reconciles.
Three rules we hold ourselves to.
They're the reason parts of this site are less flattering than they could be.
An honest zero beats an invented number
A brand-new link has no clicks. Showing you “0 visitors” to prove the product works is theatre, so we audit the destination instead — something we can actually tell you on day zero. The same rule holds everywhere: when a check can't read a page, it says “unknown” rather than guessing “fail”.
The claim has to survive procurement
We don't hold SOC 2 or ISO 27001, so we don't imply we do. We don't have customer logos yet, so we don't invent them. Everything on this site is something you can verify — most of it with the free tool on the homepage, before you give us an email address.
Links outlive the campaign that made them
A QR code on packaging can outlive the landing page, the campaign, the agency and the person who made it. Treating a link as disposable is how brands end up with print runs pointing at 404s. We treat it as infrastructure.
